Hi, I’m Jon Jon.

Hi, I’m Jon Jon.

Hi, I’m Jon Jon.

Hi, I’m Jon Jon.

It’s about us, not me.

It’s about us, not me.

It’s about us, not me.

It’s about us, not me.

I’m running for City Council District 9, and want us to shape our district to become a wonderful place to live for everyone. This website is here to show you how we’re going to do that.

My story, my mission

My story, my mission

My story, my mission

My story, my mission

I didn’t grow up with much, but I know the power of community because I lived it. Growing up in East Tennessee, there were times when we had to stretch every dollar, but the opportunities and support around me helped me get ahead.

As your elected official, it will be my job to ensure our district gets its fair share of funding, but I know that no amount of funding will ever be enough for a disconnected community. District 9 stands adjacent to downtown, surrounded by some of the most beautiful natural features in Chattanooga, yet we’ve become a pass-through for people living outside the area.

This is where the power of mutual aid comes in. Mutual aid multiplies the impact of what’s given to a district through community involvement and collective action. Over the last three years, I’ve worked with groups to do just that—installing over 90 benches at bus stops, organizing trash pick-ups, and getting 100+ people to show up at City Hall to speak out on important issues. As a community advocate, I work for bottom-up change in Chattanooga. Together, we can make our community more connected, engaged, and thriving.
